InstructorLane legal

Terms of Service

Rules for InstructorLane accounts, acceptable use, records and service access.

Draft version: 27 August 2026

Commercial launch condition: these terms must be reviewed against the operator's actual identity, support process, hosting arrangements and insurance before publication.

Service

InstructorLane provides a cloud workspace and companion pupil app for independent driving instruction administration. It is not an official DVSA, DVLA or GOV.UK service and does not replace professional judgement, legal duties or current official guidance.

Account responsibility

The instructor is responsible for accurate registration details, protecting login credentials, managing authorised devices, maintaining appropriate pupil permissions and checking saved records.

Acceptable use

Users must not attempt to bypass subscription controls, gain access to another workspace, upload unlawful material, interfere with security, reverse engineer protected services or use the product for deceptive or harmful activity.

Records and exports

InstructorLane supports operational records but does not guarantee that any report alone satisfies every legal, regulatory, tax, insurance or professional requirement. Users should verify and retain records appropriate to their circumstances.

Availability and changes

The service may be updated, maintained or temporarily interrupted. Reasonable care is taken to protect data, but users should use provided exports as part of their own continuity arrangements.

Termination

An account may be suspended for security, unlawful use, payment failure or serious breach. Expiry of a trial or subscription normally locks protected functions without deleting saved workspace data.
